Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Lexbill LLC ("Lexbill," "we," "us," or "our") collects when you visit our website or subscribe to the Lexbill newsletter, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Who we are
Lexbill is a newsletter operated by Lexbill LLC, a limited liability company organized in the State of Wyoming, United States. We are the data controller for the information described here. For privacy questions, email info@lexbill.fyi.
2. What we collect
We collect only what we need to run the newsletter:
- Account details you provide when you subscribe: your email address and, if you give it, your name.
- Subscription details: the plan and term you select and communicate to us when arranging your membership.
- Communications: the contents of emails you send us.
- Email engagement: whether an issue was opened or a link clicked, collected by our email delivery provider to measure what is useful and to detect delivery problems.
- Technical data: standard server logs when you visit the site, such as IP address, browser type and pages viewed.
3. Payments
We do not collect or store payment card details on this website. Purchases are arranged and finalized directly with our team.
4. How we use your information
- to deliver the newsletter and the tier you selected;
- to manage your subscription, renewals, cancellations and refunds;
- to answer your messages and provide support;
- to understand which content is useful and improve the newsletter;
- to keep the service secure and prevent abuse;
- to comply with legal obligations, including tax and accounting rules.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
5. Legal bases
Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on: performance of a contract to deliver what you subscribed to; legitimate interests to improve and secure the service and to measure engagement; consent where we ask for it; and legal obligation for tax and record-keeping.
6. Who we share it with
We share data only with providers that help us run the service, under contracts that limit how they may use it:
- our email delivery provider to send issues and track delivery;
- our website hosting provider;
- professional advisers, and authorities where the law requires it.
Some providers are located in the United States or other countries. Where data leaves the EU or UK we rely on standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
7. Cookies
Our website uses no tracking or advertising cookies. Emails may contain a single tracking pixel for open and click statistics; you can block it by disabling remote images in your email client.
8. Retention
We keep your subscription data for as long as your subscription is active and for up to 7 years afterwards where needed for tax and accounting. Emails you send us are kept for up to 3 years. Server logs are kept for up to 90 days.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Residents of the EU, UK, California and other jurisdictions with privacy laws can exercise these rights by emailing info@lexbill.fyi. We respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in every issue.
10. Children
The service is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has subscribed, contact us and we will delete the account.
11. Security
We use reputable providers, encrypted connections and access controls to protect your data. No system is completely secure, and we will notify you and the relevant authorities of any breach as the law requires.
12. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the newsletter or by email before they take effect. The date at the top shows the current version.
